Bite-Sized Lessons to Help You Get Your Financial House in Order

If you’re like me, you might have an interest in personal finance and spend hours reading about it… only to do nothing.

It’s one thing to think, “Hmmm, that’s interesting!” and quite another to figure out, “How do I actually apply this to my life?”

Yet the cost of inaction is real—whether it’s poor risk management, missed opportunities, or the psychological burden of never crossing those financial tasks off your to-do list.

That’s where this newsletter comes in.

My goal is to make personal finance approachable and actionable, with real-life case studies and simple action steps to help you bridge the gap between good intentions and meaningful progress.

Unlike other finance blogs, I don’t plan on writing about the latest market trends or hyping the latest investment fad. Instead, my focus is on helping you take practical steps to improve your financial security and peace of mind.

About Me

I stumbled into the asset and wealth management world nearly 30 years ago—and I’m still fascinated by the global economy and capital markets.

But here’s the thing: despite my professional background, managing my own personal finances hasn’t always been smooth sailing.

Life happens.

Marriage, divorce, becoming a parent, losing a parent, buying a home, moving across the country—all these events left their mark on my finances.

And then there’s the curveball of health challenges. Thankfully, mine aren’t life-threatening, but they’ve forced me to scale back my work hours, which has directly impacted my quality of life.

When your income dips but your liabilities stay the same—or grow with children—it all comes down to one thing: cash flow.

This epiphany has reshaped my financial philosophy.

I’ve shifted from focusing on portfolio returns to prioritizing liquidity, diversifying savings and investment vehicles, and executing the small but impactful actions on which we often procrastinate.

Since I love sharing what I’m learning and thinking about, this newsletter will be a way to pass along lessons that can help you take meaningful steps to strengthen your financial life.

At the same time, I hope to foster a supportive, engaged community where we can learn, grow, and succeed together.
